Newton Aycliffe Football Club is delighted to announce that a new team will be joining us from this weekend. As part of our commitment to developing young players we will be welcoming Newton Aycliffe FC Under 17 to the Club.
The Under 17 team will be playing in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance (TJFA) Division 1 league. Their first game is on Sunday 8 September, kick off at 1:30pm, at home against Grangetown Boys Club.
The first three games are at home on successive Sundays and will be played on the senior team’s pitch at The Ashcourt Group Stadium, Newton Aycliffe Sports Club. Supporters are welcome to attend the games to get behind the new team.
Newton Aycliffe FC chairman, Allan Oliver, said:
“I am really pleased to welcome the Under 17s to the Club. These are exciting times for Aycliffe. The senior team is unbeaten so far this season & doing as well as we’ve ever done in the FA Cup. We have shown, in winning the Northern League & in our first Northern Premier League season that we are able to bring through junior players into the senior ranks. In the years to come I am sure we will see talented young players from the Under 17 team progress into the Northern Premier League.
